Rebecca Friedman Literary is a full service agency, representing a wide-ranging list of fiction and non-fiction authors.
Rebecca Friedman, Founder & Literary Agent
Rebecca began her career at Greenburger Associates. From there, she worked at Sterling Lord Literistic and the Hill Nadell Agency, before starting her own agency in 2013. She is a graduate of Barnard College and lives in Los Angeles with her family. Rebecca is interested in commercial and literary fiction with a focus on literary novels of suspense, women’s fiction, contemporary romance, and young adult, as well as journalistic non-fiction and memoir. Most of all, she is looking for great stories told in strong voices.
Susan Finesman, Literary Agent
Susan Finesman began her career as a scout for film and TV before turning her attention to agenting in 2010. Her background in Hollywood has given her a wide range of experience that informs her work with her clients. She works with a broad range of genres, including fiction, cookbooks, and lifestyle. She challenges authors to make her laugh or cry–preferably both. She loves the twists and turns of a great page-turner, and most of all is looking for work that features characters she cannot shake. Abby Schulman, Operations and Associate Agent
Abby started her career at the Hill Nadell Agency, and has been on the team at RF Literary since its founding in 2013. She received her MA from King’s College London in Contemporary Literature, Culture, and Theory, where she wrote a dissertation on post-humanism, cyborgs, and young adult literature. (How cool is that?) Abby loves stories with magic, dark themes, and compelling characters who struggle with deep conflict. She’s looking for YA, particularly with a fantastical bent. She also loves cats and tofu. Abby is currently closed to queries. Email: Abby@rfliterary.com
Brandie Coonis, Assistant to Rebecca Friedman and Associate Agent
Brandie is a graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop with a deep fondness for lyrical prose, imperfect characters, and striking voices. She loves working with writers and stories that defy genre. Originally from New Jersey, she has an MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from the University of Southern California and worked in film and TV production before returning to her first love: books. Brandie is currently closed to queries. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
